Dr. Marissa Edmund

"Everything is happy in the end, if you're not happy, it's not the end"

The Marion Clinic was founded by Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr. Marissa Edmund, whose passion for mental health care began early in life. A proud alumna of Bishop Anstey High School East and a National Scholarship recipient, Dr. Edmund has always demonstrated a deep commitment to excellence, service, and leadership. Born and raised in Tunapuna, she has long been driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact in her community.

Her interest in psychiatry was sparked during her clinical training at The University of the West Indies, where she discovered a field that beautifully combined her love for neuroscience with her calling to support those in emotional and psychological need. Psychiatry, for Dr. Edmund, became more than a specialty—it became a mission.

With that mission in mind, she founded The Marion Clinic to create a safe, inclusive, and stigma-free space for individuals seeking mental health support. At the heart of the clinic’s philosophy is a commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that respects each person's journey.

The Marion Clinic team has been carefully selected to represent a wide range of expertise across the mental health spectrum. By integrating psychiatric and psychotherapeutic services, we offer holistic, personalised care designed to meet the unique needs of every patient.
